Crown King Mine and Q-Gold
The Crown King Mine in Yavapai County, Arizona has just went into a a Mineral Processing Agreement with Q-Gold Resources Ltd. The Crown King Mine was one of the richest gold and silver mines that existed in the Bradshaw Mountain Range. Under this agreement Q-Gold can process all mineral materials in the Deposit located on the Buckeye patent. Q-Gold has begun a trenching and drilling program to test the mine tailings. So far the results looks promising with some areas showing over 7 gram of gold per ton of tails sampled. Many mines still exist in the area today and are worked on a small scale but most are forgotten to time. Other towns in the wide general area include, Wagoner, Cleator, Bumble Bee, Cordes, and Mayer.Gold can be found almost anywhere from any direction to Crown King making the mountain an apex of wealth.
It will be interesting to see how and if this develops further and the impact it will have on the quiet mountain town. One of the issues at hand for residents, tourist and those who frequent the area is the road to the town. Steep, narrow with many blind turns it already has had it share of accidents. Some residents don't want to see a boost in the economy and enjoy the quiet non commercial life offered by Crown King.
