Tucson Gem & Mineral Show
The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is held every February and is open to the public. The show has a great display of gold. It will amaze you to be able to see hundreds of gold nuggets and specimens, some of them weighing many pounds. The show is the world's largest gem, fossil and mineral show. The show grows with each passing year and each year more exciting than the last. The show back in 1955. If you're interested in attending the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show this year book your lodging well in advance.
One trip to the show and if you don't have gold fever you will surely catch it. And if you already are an active prospector you will leave the show ready to hit the gold fields. There is also a lot of fun things for the kids to see and so and some vendors sell dinosaur related items. And if you take your time and look carefully you can find some great old books full of information you won't find in most of today's publications.
