According to NQ Miners Den located in Australia the release of the new Minelab GPX 4500 metal detector will be next month, Release Date 7th April 2008.

 The inital price looks to be RSP $ AU 6,150 or $5,600.00 USD.

 In fact the NQ Miners Den has a picture on their website which shows a standard Minelab looking control box for the GPX4500

Given the high price and the fact that many, many metal detector users are still finding good ammounts fo gold using older Minelab models such as the SD2100, the current state of the U.S. ecomony and the all time high price of gold it will be interesting too see how well this shakes out in the market and if indeed the GPX 4500 will be happily received by consumers who many state Minelab is releasing too many new models too fast.
