Hi Rod,

I just got off the phone with Dave and while we were talking, he sent the pics. He still sounds bad but he says he is feeling better.

Now, I wish I could say for sure I will have a Nemesis with me when I head for AZ next month, but I can't for sure. It is sounding better, though.

If anyone has any questions, I will try to answer them for you.

Hi Reg,

Thanks for the poto's. Very nice looking machine.

Do you think that you will have it with you when you come over to the hill??

Don't know if you remember talking with me when you was doing some comparesion test on some nuggets on the east side of the hill, last year.

Would be nice to see some more test.

Howdy -

Hey I am at the GPAA show in Salem Oregon - there are many folks here, and I will shortly be posting what I think will be the first pictures of the GPX 4500 on the internet not taken from the Minelab sales brochure. I was taking a close look at the 4500 today, had it in my hands, I took pictures and even got a few shots of pages from the owners manual. Will post them here soon, as I do not have the right USB cable to download the pics from my camera with me.

I also had a chat with a Rep from Whites, and may someday have some more info on it - he said he'd have to kill me if I said "whites PI" too loudly in the auditorium. From another source, I heard a rumour that the electronics boards for the first production run of the Whites PI are being made up right now.

Hi Bob,

The plan is for me to have a Nemesis with me when I head to AZ in April, but we will have to wait and see. Although he says he is feeling better, I can tell you he still sounds bad. I personally wouldn't want to be pushing hard to get things done sounding that bad. To make matters worse, he has had this infection for quite some time now. I know I talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he sounded terrible then.

As Dave said on another forum, he is a one man band. He pays the bills, designs and builds the units, buys the parts basically by himself. Considering all the costs involved just to get started, he is doing better than people realize. It has been a long haul and there have been a few setbacks but it will happen. He has too much time and money invested now to quit.

Now, on a different note, I plan on doing more testing even if I don't have the Nemesis. Yep, I remember you. I hope to see you again this time down.

Hi Rod,

The power supply is a li Ion battery located inside the case. It is a 4800ma one I believe with about a 16 hr run time.

The coils are all special designed with electronic components inside the coil housing, so there will not be aftermarket coils readily available that I know of. There will be several sizes ranging form a small elliptical that is about 9 3/4" by 4 3/4", a 10" round, an 18" round and one other size, I believe. I am not sure of the other size at this time.

I think it comes standard with a 10" round coil.
