this is a gpaa claim , i think it is about 4 miles south east from stanton. i've seen a lot of videos of people finding gold with quartz on this claim so i thought i would make it my first attempt at metal detecting. i'm planning on getting to the claim area realy early like 6-6:30 am saturday . i'll get a topo of the area so i can find it ,"wouldn't want to wake the poor guy up at 6 am " lol , i'm going to stay over night so i have 2 full days to get used to my gm4-b .

62 willys...Drop down the hill as you near the Lucky Linda claim...There is a fairly large wash on the east side that starts just below the bottom of the Weaver Claim ... There have been some nice species found near the gut of the wash...It's tough hunting, but there's potential...The famous "Tongue Nugget" was found near the top of the wash....Cheers, Unc

well i spent two full days detecting...... and i found 4 bullets , and about 40 pieces of russty little things , oh yea and 3 little bird shots !! i did not find any gold , but i got used my detector . lots of gray rocks that scream , and some red ones also . i don't think i was in the area that uncle ron said to try . some of the rusty things were very tiny ,i'm sure that if i would of passed the detector over some gold i would have found it . the hills don't have as much trash as the washes ,i noticed . i found my self adjusting the groung balance alot , no big deal , i think i have gotten pretty good at that ! but it is easy to do . there were a lot of coyotes out saturday night , they were close at times . i slept with my trusty cz-52 right next to me " i was by my self" "thats my excuse anyways"!!lol . do the mine labs go off on the hot rocks also ? i'm going back out this weekend to try it again , " i had a dream i found a nice speciemen piece " , so i need to keep trying ! hey uncle ron i need more info on that area ....thanx 62willys
