Terry,

Excellent thread!

Unfortunately, over the past 20 to 30 years, there has been a subliminal message planted in the minds of the current and burgeoning generation. The message is that conserving the environment is of foremost importance. The "environnment" is considered a "resource".

The reality is that we all must live and survive in a world that needs commodities. Farming, fishing, Mining are all under attack from the environmental groups. Without the needed commodities, people will starve, have less techie gadgets and yes, the financial system will suffer.

In the end - those of us that uderstand the importance of commodities (like gold) will win. Understanding also how to recover gold, knowing where it comes from and how to refine gold will survive the test of time as it has through past generations.

The environmental movement is largely political and allows short-term thinking to prevail. It's about "control". Ultimately, those who control the gold will control the economy and the financial system will remain based on that commodity!
