I found the deal of the year at Cabelas the other day. I bnought a new Gold Bug in the bargain cave for $275. That's almost half price. Not a mark on it. One of the shafts had a burr on the plastic lock tab, preventing the shaft from sliding all the way in, that took all of 30 seconds to fix. Unit seems to work great, coil never been on the ground and screen has no dead pixels. Be a couple weeks before I get it out into the field, but I am happy with the purchase at that price. Dennis

That should have no problem paying for itself this season Dennis. Good eye for the bargains.

I'll get out this week, likely Thursday, for my 1st trip with this unit. It's not the pro version, however I feel it will work well for what it is. Seems to work well just testing around the house. It will likely take me a few trips to master this unit, so I don't expect too much the 1st time out. Dennis
